Jikazi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp
During civil unrest following the December 2007 presidential elections in Kenya there were few places that displaced persons could feel safe resettling. One such place was between the Kikuyu village of Maai Mahiu and the Maasai village of Suswa. This was because the two tribes had sworn to a peace accord the previous year as part of our agreement to provide each village with a borehole. This peace accord held and resulted in this new permanent settlement. They are in need of a clean water resource so we plan to provide them with a borehole.
